Fabulous Friday

Photobucket

What is fabulous this friday? I am in awe about how much I saved buying used books on ebay. I had about $80 worth of books through amazon, and I decided to see how much I could save on ebay. I spent $25 on books on ebay! All stated they were in excellent condition. I am so excited. I plan on reading them all on our vactation to Arizona in 3 weeks! I cannot wait. I have 10 days off before my summer term begans and I am thrilled to get to spend 7 days laying by a pool in Arizona. I have been to Arizona 3 times before and I love it there!

So here are some of the books on my summer reading list:

Things I've learned thursday

Never lose your innocence. Looking at the world through a child's eye is so much more beautiful. Children are constantly in search of beauty and fun, they don't look for bad like so many of us tend to do the older we get. I always want to remember what it like to just get excited about all those little things that so many of us over look, the everyday stuff that makes life truly special!

Photobucket

You may wake up one day and say this isn't the path I chose, but it is the path your on, so embrace it and rock it :-) Nobody has the exact life they picture, nobody has a perfect life, not even Oprah! We all have to make the conscious effort to be happy and live the life of our dreams, it is all up to you!

Photobucket

The grass is never greener on the other side. As humans I think we tend to always think, " if I just get that car I will be so much happier", no you won't! Be happy with the now, what you have, not what you don't. I'm so glad I learned this lesson as early as I did!

Photobucket

Take time for yourself, do the things that make you happy. Don't ever lose that, I did for a long time and I wasn't happy. I spent too much time on others, I forgot how much I matter, so take time and smell those beautiful flowers!

Photobucket

There is nothing more important than family, they truly are the ones who will always be there. Love your mom, dad, brothers and sisters. You never know how long you will have them here, cherish it!
Photobucket

Be a leader, not a follower, the only thing you should follow is your heart because it will lead you the right way!

Happy Mother's Day

Photobucket

Happy Mother's Day. I always have loved this day. I loved celebrating what a wonderful mother I have been so blessed with. I loved spoiling her and making her feel good. My mom has taught me everything I know. She was my mother and my father and I never felt like I missed out. I always knew I could go to her, I always knew she would be there supporting me no matter what path I chose, even if it wasn't the one she would choose for me. She stood by my side, even when I didn't want her there. I love my mom with everything, and she is my best friend. She has been so selfless always taking care of us kids and putting us first, even when she shouldn't have, but she did so because she is the best kind of momma.
Photobucket

I am able to go to school and stay home with my children while doing so because of her. I am so blessed and I don't need Mother's day to remind me of that. I think as mothers we just do the best job we can we the knowledge we have, we live and learn and most importantly love, and that's what being a good mother is all about!

Photobucket

Words will never be enough, but thank you mom I love you so much!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful, beautiful, incredible mothers out there!

Show us your life:

Okay so I am playing along with Kellys Corner- Show us your life:Baby Names

I have a confession, I am obsessed with names lol. For months I held a spot as top contributor on Yahoo Answers baby names, and I was truly proud of myself.

So I have Noah Michael-Noah from the Notebook, Michael is from his fathers uncle who died in vietnam war and one of his best friends.

Then Gracelynne Destini, Grace with my middle name Lynne, and Destini after my beautiful sister.

Names I really like are, Luka, Liam, Rylee and Halan- for boys.

For girls I like, Elliana, Sienna, and Tallulah (lou), I don't plan on using all of them if any lol but I like to dream up names. Most boy names with have the middle name of James after my grandpa. And for girls will be Kate after my best friend!

What names do you love?

Fabulous Friday

Photobucket

It's no secret that I LOVE Target. I think Target is fabulous. I can spend hours in there. I buy kids clothes, stuff for the house, cosmetics, clothes for me...I buy anything and everything from Target. I love that it's one stop shopping. That means I only have to get the kids out of the carseats into the cart and back out 1x..and that makes it a good trip for me too!Today I went to target and picked up a couple things. I was looking for a top for me to wear to church on mothers day and for when the kids and I get our pictures done soon. I want to wear white in them and this is what I found...

This picture does not do the shirt justice in any way, or it just looks way cuter on me lol

And I got this steal a little spring coat for Gracelynne

Isn't it fabulous? Only $11.00 which makes it even more fabulous!!

Wish List Wednesday

I love taking part of Jenni's Wish List Wednesday over at The Foster Family Blog (check out my blog roll)

My only wish this Wednesday is that Gracelynne's foot heals. This morning she had gotten off her splint and was standing in her crib saying ouchie, so it is still hurting her just to stand on it. I just hope by Friday she is doing well and we get the go ahead to take that darn thing off.

Motherhood

I never realized what all becoming a mother would mean. I remember being pregnant with Noah, I was only 17 when I found out, and 18 when I had him, and all I could think about was having him, and holding him. I couldn't think much further down the line because I never had a baby. I didn't have any clue what sleep deprivation was,or that this little being was going to need me and rely on me 100% for everything. I had no clue how my life would change so drastically.

After Noah was born I fell into a pretty good routine. I actually really enjoyed being up with him for night feedings. I would stay up for awhile after I fed him, just so I could hold him in my arms and watch my peaceful, beautiful baby boy sleep. I would cry because I felt so blessed, Noah didn't have the easiest start in life and I am always grateful for his health. Noah was born early at 35 weeks. He was hydrocephalic- meaning spinal fluid surrounding his brain, making his head grown very large and putting pressure on his precious brain. He was diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst and shunted at 4 days old. A shunt is a device that works as a catheter it is right above his ear, the tubing that drains the fluid into his little belly. Because of the shunt he is fine, he can do normal things and be a normal little boy, and Im so grateful!!

Photobucket

When Noah was only 3 months old, I got pregnant again. I was terrified but I trusted in the Lord and I knew everything would be okay. The pregnancy went really fast because I was so busy with Noah and going to school. Gracelynne was born July 7th, 2008. She was 32 weeks. She was small at only 4 lbs, but she was strong and healthy. She only did a 8 day NICU stay and I got to bring her home. Having an 11 month old and a newborn was so hard. I was exhausted and their dad was not in a good place, he was unable to support us, and help me in the way I needed him to. So it was all on me. I did it though, one day at a time, I got through each day, and the challenges that it presented.
Photobucket

When Gracelynne started to sleep through the night my life got a lot easier. I use to not be able to go places alone because it would be so tiring by the time I got into the store, I had no energy to shop. But, in time I learned tricks, I learned to manage and now I'm a pro. I can go anywhere with the two of them!
Photobucket

I have learned so much about myself in the last year, and I'm still learning and growing everyday. I am starting to love the independent strong woman I am becoming, and I can say I am proud of myself, I'm proud of the little people my children our becoming. I would have never believe someone if they said you'll have 2 kids at 19 years old, and you'll become a single parent before your 20. But, this is how things have played out, and I could have choice to let those circumstances get me down. I don't I embrace life and go with it. I know my life is far from perfect, but I love it, I love my children so much, they are my world, and I wouldn't want my world without them in it. I feel so lucky and blessed for each and every moment I get to spend with them, I know this is going to go far too fast and I just want to keep every laugh, hug, giggle with me forever. I love being a mom, it is the hardest job I will ever do, but I know nothing else will bring me as much happiness as mothering my children!
