Im not too old to get in trouble

Ahh man humilated myself tonight in class (I'm going to school to be a nurse, im in the final tough leg of pre-reqs for the RN program). We were talking about the coxal bone and she was talking about how when elderly woman break it its like a death sentence. The whole room kinda got quiet and it seemed a little stiff. I was thinking that seems a little serious, not to mention harsh. Then she says that was probably a little bit dramtic and it doesn't necessarily lead to death . I turned to my friend and said, " Ah man, if I break my hip im gonna think back to this and get on my death bed", We both laughed a little and then the teacher said something along the lines, "Do you girls want to talk," and I said, "No thats ok sorry and she went on to say, "Whats so funny on your phones" and I said, "it wasn't are phones it was the death sentence, I just dont wanna break my hip," and she gave me this look like wow you are so stupid and she said,"okaaay" and that is when everyone glared at me and if looks could kill id be 6ft under. I wanted to die right there.....maybe from a broken coxal bone.

In this moment I was truly embarressed, but this is where one of those lessons happens. Yes, I acted a little silly, but the teacher was also a little up tight. I apologized and now I'm going to move on, and try to punish myself anymore, because the glares were enough!

Wish List Wednesday

Photobucket

One of my favorite mommy bloggers at Foster Family Blogs- http://nbjenni.blogspot.com/
does Wish List Wednesday and I wanted to Participate. Right now the only thing I'm really wishing for you can't purchase, or maybe you can in a way, but I guess that is why I should put them on my wish list.

Sunshine- I live in Oregon and it has been doing what we are known for: Raining. I miss the sun which last week had come out a bit, and gave us a glimpse of summer. I love being outside and playing with the kids.

More Energy and Motivation- I feel like im falling behind in my classes and it is not good. I need more energy to have more time to devote to studying as well as more motivation to want to really kick it into high gear for the rest of the term.

and Lastly, I wish for these adorable beanies I got from the kids from etsy to arrive, along with my lens I purchased off amazon!

A day in the life of me

Our typical day starts about 9 o'clock, yes I am that lucky. Gracelynne is our little alarm clock. When we get up we do cereal most mornings. The kids like wheaties.

After cereal I let them watch Mickey Mouse or Handy Manny and I usually check my blogs. After that I get them dressed. That can either be easy peasy or a monumental task. Usually it is rough with Noah, he is very picky about what he wears, at least he has a since of style though :).

I then move on to my daily chores. Which consist of vacuuming, picking up toys, kitchen cleaning, somedays mopping and dusting.

We play and then they have lunch, that is about 12 to 1. Gracelynne takes a nap in her crib right after that. Noah sometimes naps, if he doesn't nap I turn on a movie and he has quiet time. This is a good time for me to studying. Nap time is about 2 hours give or take.

We then will have a snack. We go out and play or go to the park which is a few blocks away as long as it's not raining. Dinner is at 6. After dinner I do bath time, and we usaully play some more together, read a book and then bed time. And that is just a typical day around our house.

Dinner time at my house...

Photobucket

Photobucket
Dinner can be a stressful time, the kids are usually terrorizing each other while I am cooking, so that makes me a chef and a referee.

Tonight was no different. I try to serve dinner about 6:00. In between the fights, them breaking out the finger paints, (that they were using on the coffee table) dinner wasn't even ready till 7ish.

Noah is really picky, trying to get him to eat is a task. It can be frustrating. His pediatrician doesn't seem to be concerned, and she said unlike adults- young children know when they are hungry, so I try to not stress and just let him eat when he is hungry. If he doesn't eat at dinner I put it up and heat it up when he is hungry later.

Gracelynne once again is polar opposite from her brother. She eats great...sometimes too great. Gracie loves all foods, she is not picky in the slightest, she loves spicy food.

It just reminds me once again how my children are so different and so perfect in their own little ways. And my life can be hectic, and stressful but I wouldn't trade it for anything, I really wouldn't. Noah and Gracelynne have already brought me so much happiness, I look forward to each and everyday because they are in it. I am truly truly blessed.

What's For Supper Sunday

Photobucket
So Sundays is usually when I plan my weekly menu and try to get my grocery shopping done.Oh and my trick at the grocery store with two toddlers, is to either get a kid cart ya know the one that's a cool police car, or something equally fun. But, if we dont get one of those, they each get a sucker, gives me about 30 solid minutes to get my shopping done.

Sunday: My famous Skillet- one Jimmy Dean All natural sausage, potatoes o'brien, eggs, and eggs. Cook everything all up then mix it together, you can add cheese too. Then top it with ketchup...yum.

Monday: Burritos- with all the fixing, hamburger, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese.

Tuesday: I have school, so the kids will eat with the babysitter.

Wednesday: Baked Pasta Primavera Casserole- a Ragu recipe found right herehttp://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baked-Pasta-Primavera-Casserole/Detail.aspx

Thursday: I have school, but the babysitter comes here and I always do something easy that I can cook before hand. Pizza Casserole- Pillsbury pizza crust. Can of pizza sauce, 2 cups Romano cheese, pepperoni, green peppers, tomatoes, onions and cheddar topping cheese. Bake according to direction on crust packaging.

Friday: Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes.

Saturday: Chicken Fettucine Alfredo- I just cook chicken, cook noodles, and add it all together with Alfredo sauce.

Tada! See that's not too bad, planning is key though so you can make sure you have all the ingredients on hand.

Fabulous Friday

Photobucket

Okay so here is the deal...I loved weekly themed post, so welcome to Fabulous Friday. I plan to talk about things that i'm loving at the moment and find well, fabulous!

So this Friday I want to talk about my obession with glade oil candles. I love them, they make the whole house smell yummy. They are relitively cheap. My favorite scent is Clean linen, I buy it 9 times outta 10. I also like Orchid Oasis, I think it's newer, I love it!

Another fabulous friday find would be my new lens I just ordered, it's a canon 50mm 1.4 and I'm so excited! I have been wishing and hoping for it for a long time. My mom went in it half with me for a mothers day gift, isn't that too sweet? She is the best, hands down! I cannot wait to try it out when it gets here!

Welcome To My Blog

Photobucket

These are my beautiful children. This was one of those perfect moments, the moments that I believe life is all about. I live for moments like these. When they happen they are magical.

Noah is my first born, he is my little cuddle bug. He is very smart, loving, compassionate, more of a planner than that lil doll of a sister he has. Gracelynne is exactly 11 months 1 week younger than Noah. She is spunky, very energetic, not a planner- more of the fly by the seat of her pants...or diaper kind-a-girl. She is also smart, but then add sneaky and sometimes we get trouble.

I became a mom at a very young age, and that brings certain challenges of it's own. Their dad has been gone out of our life for about 1 year and 7 months, and not by choice, we may talk about that more later.

I am in school to be a nurse. I am just finishing up my pre-reqs though, so I still have about 2 years left, give or take some. I love school. I find it relaxing from my home life!

I love photography, how pictures can capture those perfect moments and you can keep them forever. I love fashion, and design. I try to be crafty, but that doesnt always turn out great. I am a little spacey and don't finish all my projects, that is something I'm working on, hey we all have room for self impromant right ? Well, that is just a little introduction, the official start to my new blog...I think my 4th attempt at a blog, I really hope this one sticks!
